Local Florida Sheriffs Endorse Daniel Webster for Re-election

Webster, FL – Today, Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, announced that Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, Lake County Sheriff Peyton Grinnell and Sumter County Sheriff William Farmer, Jr have all endorsed his reelection to serve Florida’s 11th Congressional District.

“Endorsing Congressman Daniel Webster for re-election is the easiest decision,” said Sheriff Judd. “In the years I’ve known and worked with Rep. Webster, I know him to be a commonsense conservative who understands our Constitution. He fights for it and upholds its principles even when it is not politically popular. A staunch defender of the rule of law and law enforcement, Rep. Webster has championed and supported programs that provide law enforcement the training and resources needed to serve our community. We need more leaders with the humility, servant leadership, and tenacity that Dan Webster exemplifies as he serves Florida and his constituents.”

“I’ve known Rep. Webster a longtime and have witnessed firsthand his dedication to his constituents in Lake County,” said Sheriff Grinnell. “He recognizes and respects the sacrifices made by the law enforcement officers who serve and protect Floridians. Rep. Webster has a clear record of standing with and supporting law enforcement and helping make sure we have the resources and tools we need to keep our neighborhoods safe. He’s also taken action supporting legislation that bolsters our efforts to fight the trafficking of illicit drugs. For these reasons, I am wholeheartedly supporting my Congressman Daniel Webster for re-election.”

“Having known Rep. Daniel Webster for years, I know he is a common-sense conservative who knows, understands, and respects our Constitution,” said Sheriff Farmer. “His record is one of defending law and order and supporting law enforcement while fighting for our Constitutional freedoms and liberties. A true citizen leader, Dan stays very involved in our community, meeting with leaders, business owners and citizens regularly as we work together to make our neighborhoods safe places where the American dream can be realized by all. Endorsing him for re-election is without question - we need him and more leaders like him in Washington.”

“I’m honored to receive these local heroes’ endorsements,” said Rep. Daniel Webster. “These Sheriffs have dedicated their lives to serving their communities. Thanks to their service and leadership, tens of thousands of Floridians live their lives in peace knowing that the Sheriff’s office is keeping them safe. I look forward to continuing to work together to keep Florida free and safe.”
